Overview
Metochi Villas (villa Laina, villa Sofas, villa Nemparta and villa Kamares) is a group of 4 listed buildings dated back to the 18th century. They are located in the neighbourhood of Metochi at the outskirts of Platanias, near the west end of Crete 15 km away of the city of Chania and 25 km from the airport. They have been sympathetically restored to a level of luxury appreciated by the discerning traveller, seeking comfort in an environment which only an ancient building can provide. All the villas are totally independent, set within their own spacious and private stone walled courtyard garden, fully equipped, with all the amenities such as a full scale kitchen, bathroom with spa tub, washing machine and hair dryer, satellite TV, Wi-Fi broadband internet, safe, midi HiFi, large fireplace and central heating. Villa Laina and villa Sofas are also equipped with A/C in each and every room. Every villa has their private pool and BBQ and dedicated space in the parking. It is a quiet neighbourhood with easy and near access to banks, cafeterias, tavernas, bars, supermarkets, bus, taxi, seaside, guaranteeing a relax staying and a prefect base for discovering Crete’s lovely beaches.
Crete. As well as the magnificent beaches and warm seas, the size and physical variety of the island of Crete invites exploration, and Metochi Villas, located at Metochi, Maleme, 73014, Greece, is the ideal staring point. Uniquely among Greek islands, Cretes mountainous spine creates a sense of spaciousness, a life distinct from sea and sand. Fly-drive holidays to Crete – or simply the hire of a car for some days during your stay in Metochi Villas, will enable you to seek out the rugged formations of the interior, the fertile countryside and tiny chapels filled with frescoes, the mountain villages where time has stood still. Always, the authentic spirit of the islanders, their fierce independence and pride as well as the best cooking and most delicious meals that constitute the famed Cretan Diet will more likely be found where few others are looking. With so much to see, with dolphins to watch, shaded squares to paint, olive trees and wild orchids, Minoan remains and sweeping beaches, no wonder Crete holidays and Metochi Villas are revisited so often.
