Overview
Lovely location right by the harbour on the edge of town Harbour Studios & Apartments, Paleohora, Crete These modern apartments are a cut above the relatively simple accommodation normally available in Paleohora. At first and second floor level and situated on the corner of the town’small harbour, they are literally just a stone’s throw from the picturesque promenade, lined with cafe and tavernas that run along the seafront to the pebbly beach. An attractive feature of the property is the large communal terrace at the front which overlooks the harbour with really magnificent views of the sea and Crete’s White Mountains which are snow capped until June and stunningly beautiful. This terrace is the perfect spot to sunbathe or watch the world go by below and there’s also a covered area where you can relax in the shade with a good book and a long cold drink. Just a few steps from the nearest taverna and with a choice of sandy or pebbly beaches a tad over 5 minutes walk away, there’s definitely no better or more convenient address in town.
Crete. As well as the magnificent beaches and warm seas, the size and physical variety of the island of Crete invites exploration, and Harbour Studios, located at Palaiochora, Chania, 73001, Greece, is the ideal staring point. Uniquely among Greek islands, Cretes mountainous spine creates a sense of spaciousness, a life distinct from sea and sand. Fly-drive holidays to Crete – or simply the hire of a car for some days during your stay in Harbour Studios, will enable you to seek out the rugged formations of the interior, the fertile countryside and tiny chapels filled with frescoes, the mountain villages where time has stood still. Always, the authentic spirit of the islanders, their fierce independence and pride as well as the best cooking and most delicious meals that constitute the famed Cretan Diet will more likely be found where few others are looking. With so much to see, with dolphins to watch, shaded squares to paint, olive trees and wild orchids, Minoan remains and sweeping beaches, no wonder Crete holidays and Harbour Studios are revisited so often.
